The purpose of the Fellowship Club is to nurture comradeship among the St. James church members and to promote and participate in church activities.
We encourage you to come and join to our meetings from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.
Fellowship members who attended the Sunday School end of the year celebration were filled with joy to see the hall filled to capacity with children, parents and those who wished to continue support for our successful Sunday School. It was so nice to see so many helpers from all our organizations participating in the setting up, cooking, serving, etc. A big THANK YOU TO GAIL CHELEBIAN, TEACHERS, BOARD MEMBERS, AND OTHERS WHO CONTRIBUTED FOR A SUCCESSFUL YEAR.
Today was a holiday but we gathered our group to be together. We missed Captain Balian and his trumpet who would have played: Taps: on this occasion. Richard Kolligian, our caller, always reminds us of our own who served in the military. We are fortunate that many survived. In my personal family my husband served in the Navy, but his twenty-year-old brother lost his life in Europe. Years have passed but any family who has ever lost a dear one will always ask the question “Why did he or she, did not have the opportunity to live a productive happy life”? Who can answer that question?
ON A HAPPIER NOTE, KEEP SMILING!
FROM AN UNCLUTERED MIND
A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds. After explaining the commandment to “honor “thy Father and thy Mother, she asked, “Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?”
From the back, one little boy (the oldest of a family) answered, “Thou shalt not kill.”
